The Canadian Coast Guard to re-name and re-dedicate multi-tasked vessel to service at ceremony in Dartmouth

Dartmouth, Nova Scotia – The Canadian Coast Guard Atlantic Region will officially welcome the multi-tasked vessel CCGS Kopit Hopson 1752 in a re-naming and re-dedication to service ceremony at the Canadian Coast Guard Base in Dartmouth, NS.

Darrell Samson, Member of Parliament for Sackville—Preston—Chezzetcook, Nova Scotia, and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, and Mario Pelletier, Commissioner of the Canadian Coast Guard, will be joined by members of the Assembly of Nova Scotia Mi’kmaw Chiefs for the ceremony.

PLEASE NOTE: All media are asked to report to 50 Discovery Drive upon arrival. It is recommended that media arrive at least 20 minutes early to have time to walk to the event site.
