How to apply

The application process for the 2026 Inshore Rescue Boat student program is closed. The application process for 2027 will start in summer 2026.

To apply to the Inshore Rescue Boat student program, you must complete the online application on the Government of Canada jobs website.

Naval Reserve candidates apply separately through their division. Candidates are then selected by the Naval Reserve coordinator to be included in Inshore Rescue Boat service training.
