The Government of Canada supports the Fête des chants de marins

• Every year, over 15,000 visitors with a passion for maritime heritage come to Saint-Jean-Port-Joli for the Fête des chants de marins.

• To mark Canada 150, the event will have D’un océan à l’autre as its theme and will honour Canada’s maritime heritage by welcoming over 15 musical groups from Quebec (including the Magdalen Islands), New Brunswick and British Columbia.

• The 2017 festival, headlined by Kevin Parent, will also have family activities, craft workshops, a maritime dictation, and conferences in partnership with the Musée maritime du Québec and the Musée de la mémoire vivante.
