Seeking Volunteers for Canada Day Celebrations in Canada’s Capital Region

GATINEAU, May 6, 2019
Every year, Canada Day in the Capital runs smoothly thanks to the precious help of hundreds of volunteers. Canadian Heritage is looking for enthusiastic people interested in joining a dynamic team to help ensure the success of the celebrations on June 30 and July 1, 2019.
The celebrations will take place at three official sites in Canada’s Capital Region: Parliament Hill and Major’s Hill Park in Ottawa, and the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau. All kinds of volunteer opportunities are available, including assisting those with special needs, distributing flags and managing crowds. We are also looking for information officers and water station assistants.
Individuals interested in volunteering are invited to visit the Canadian Heritage Volunteer Centre website or contact us at 819‑956‑2626 or PCH.benevoles-volunteer.PCH@canada.ca. The deadline for applications is June 15, 2019.
