Breakdown of spending by province or territory

The following table presents the breakdown of spending by province and territory for each Action Plan for Official Languages 2023–2028: Protection–Promotion–Collaboration (Action Plan 2023–2028) federal partner. It includes transfers to provincial and territorial governments, as well as transfers to non-governmental organizations.

Please note that this dataset includes a category named “Actual spending not broken down.” This section is used to report any actual spending that cannot be attributed to a specific province or territory, such as funding to national/pan-Canadian organizations, activities that span multiple regions, or when detailed data by province or territory is not available. The objective is to ensure a complete representation of Action Plan spending even when an exact regional breakdown is not available. This data is essential to understanding any differences between overall spending and the total spending broken down by province or territory.
