Why was the policy changed?
It is important for organizations to ensure that they have a policy development process which clearly outlines roles and responsibilities, communication at every level as well as expectations in terms of enforcement and management tracking.
The main objective is to ensure the alignment as part of the operationalization of national, regional and local policies.
The CD and GL will provide a better understanding of everyone’s responsibilities and the steps involved at every level of the organization in support of the development and maintenance of organizational policies.
What has changed?
The applicable authorities outlined in the CD and GL clearly define the roles and responsibilities at every level as well as the process to formalize the development and review of all policies.
How was it developed?
Strategic Policy at NHQ has drafted those documents in collaboration with the Regional Administrators, Communications and Executive Services, as well as the offices of primary interest at NHQ, and in consultation with internal and external partners.
Who will be affected by the policy?
Staff involved in the development, maintenance and approval of CSC’s policy instruments.
Accountabilities
Incumbents of the positions identified in the CD are responsible for the implementation.
