As you may know, the tax season is fast approaching. Your 2024 tax slips will be available on Friday, February 21, 2025.

I encourage you to access your tax information on the date scheduled for CSC to prevent system overload.

A reminder that tax slips are available through the MyGCPay and Phoenix web applications. Those registered with Canada Revenue Agency’s or Revenu Québec’s My Account can also access their 2024 tax slips online by March 3, 2025.

Major Seizures

I’m so proud of the great work that continues to be done by our front-line staff to keep our institutions safe every day. Two important seizures of contraband and unauthorized items were made recently.

The first being in Stony Mountain Institution in Manitoba. The items seized included methamphetamine, cannabis concentrate, tobacco, cell phones and chargers, and SIM cards. The estimated institutional value of this seizure is $318,200.

The second one was in Warkworth Institution, in Ontario. An estimated total of $230,310 of contraband was seized. The package included marijuana, tobacco, “shatter” (cannabis concentrate) and cellphone accessories.

Thank you for your hard work, commitment, and dedication to keep our institutions safe. Your work has a direct impact on the safety and security of your colleagues, offenders, and our communities.

Every job is a self-portrait of the person who did it. Autograph your work with excellence.
