Key priorities

The Correctional Service of Canada’s (CSC) corporate priorities stem from its mission, legislative framework and risk profile. They provide specific focus for the organization’s direction, programs and initiatives. CSC has six priorities that are all equally important.

Refocusing Government Spending

In Budget 2023, the government committed to reduce spending by $14.1 billion over the next five years, starting in 2023 to 2024, and by $4.1 billion annually after that.
