On October 2, 2017 the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) held a Change of Command Ceremony in the Ontario region. This occasion marked the change in command from the outgoing Regional Deputy Commissioner Mike Ryan, to the incoming Regional Deputy Commissioner Scott Harris.

Your dedication in making a difference in the lives of Canadians is truly inspiring. I have been lucky to have served with you. It is now time for me to hand over the leadership to a great individual who I know will help the organisation and our great region progress all while ensuring the safety of Canadians.”

• The Ontario region was established in 1962 and its headquarters is located in Kingston, Ontario.

  There are seven institutions, two community districts and one learning centre in the region that covers Ontario and Nunavut.

  CSC employs approximately 3,500 across the region.
