Escape from Saskatchewan Penitentiary– Minimum security unit

November 15, 2018 – Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – Correctional Service Canada

On November 14, 2018 during the 9:45 p.m. count in the minimum security unit at Saskatchewan Penitentiary, staff members discovered that Edward Daniel Ross was not accounted for.

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the Prince Albert detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.

Edward Daniel Ross is 20 years old, measures 180 cm (5’11”) in height and weighs 90 kg (199 lbs). He has a dark complexion, brown eyes and brown hair. He is currently serving a sentence of 3 years, 11 months, 9 days for Disguise With Intent, Utter Threat to Cause Death or Harm, Forcible Confinement and Break, Enter and Commit Robbery.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Edward Daniel Ross is asked to contact police.

CSC will investigate the circumstances of this incident and is working with the police to locate the offender as quickly as possible.

CSC has given the police all of the information available to help arrest the inmate.
