Mental Health Week is an annual event to celebrate and raise awareness about the importance of mental health.
This year’s theme is “Come together, Canada.” It’s a reminder that social connection is an important part of developing resiliency and maintaining your well-being.

Here is what’s going on:
May 6: Attend the in-person or virtual edition of the Mental Health Week Wellness Fair
Are you looking for ways to improve your mental health and overall wellness? Do you want to learn about the programs and services available to you as a military member or public service employee? If so, then be sure to check out the Defence Team’s Mental Health Week Wellness Fair.
Attend in-person in the National Capital Region
A variety of DND/CAF program representatives will be on-site and available to discuss the services and support they offer. Stop by to chat, learn more about the services available, and ask questions. No registration required: just drop in!

Register for the Empathy webinar
Empathy is a key part of emotional intelligence and plays a vital role in supporting mental health at work. In the workplace, empathy leads to more engaged employees, encourages innovation, and increases cooperation. Empathy also enhances life-work integration and enables positive work experiences. Empathy is a skill that can be developed over time to enhance both personal well-being and team resilience.
This session will help you to:
- understand empathy and its role in mental health
- learn how to apply empathy in the workplace
- recognize the importance of healthy boundaries
- explore ways to practice self-care
