
ADM(Mat) NERF Battle

7 Vickers Gun Road, Nepean, K2K 2W6 at the 3 sprung shelters at Connaught Range (The three white shelters on boulevard Brouillette between 1 Vickers Gun Road, Nepean and 7 Vickers Gun Road, Nepean)
This friendly, team-based NERF battle is designed to promote camaraderie, teamwork, physical activity, and fun. Participants will engage in structured game modes using soft foam dart blasters within a safe and controlled environment. The event encourages strategic thinking, collaboration, and friendly competition.
Who Can Join?
The ADM(Mat) team is inviting all DND employees, both civilians and military personnel, to join this NCR event.

The cost is $20 per person and all funds will be going to the NDWCC. Information on how to complete the payment is available on the registration form.

Parking
Please note that limited parking is available. Because of this, we strongly recommend carpooling with your team to help reduce the number of cars on site.
Parking is permitted in the parking lots called VG2, BB2 and DH6 noted on the map below.

Be advised that DND is not responsible for any theft or damages that may occur in the parking lots.
Safety & Equipment Guidelines
Blaster & Dart Regulations
- Participants must bring their own Nerf-type blaster(s) and their darts.
- Players may carry multiple blasters as long as they can safely manage them during gameplay.
- Blasters permitted:
- All manual NERF blasters are permitted, and the N1 darts are the safest to be used.
- Other manual blasters are permitted as long as they shoot slower than 150 feet per second. For example, the XShot series.
- Other types (e.g., water guns, gel blasters, or paintball markers) are not permitted for safety and consistency.
- Please verify the eligibility of your blaster and darts with the event OPI as required: raphael.henry@forces.gc.ca.
- Organizers will provide a surplus of ~100 N1 darts for distribution if required.
- All equipment will be inspected prior to use to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Dart Management
- After each round, participants must help gather all darts from the floor.
- Each participant will leave with the same number of darts they brought, ensuring fairness and organization.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Protective goggles are mandatory for all participants.
- Acceptable options include squash goggles and ball hockey eyewear.
- Only 30 pairs of goggles from PSP will be available at the event
- Participants must wear closed-toe shoes and invited to wear long sleeves and pants.
Targeting Rules
- No shots within two meters of another player to prevent injury.
- No shots to the face are tolerated under any circumstances.
- Players must aim for torso or limbs only.
- Rule violations may result in immediate removal from the game.
Game Structure & Conduct
Game Modes
- Team Elimination;
- Capture the Flag;
- King of the Hill; and/or
- Objective-based missions.
Teams will be visually identified using sport bibs.
