September 12, 2024
To all Defence Team members,

Lieutenant-General Eric Kenny
and Judith Bennett
We are pleased to announce the launch of the 2024 National Defence Workplace Charitable Campaign (NDWCC), which will take place on September 12 at HMCS Carleton in Ottawa. The NDWCC forms part of the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign (GCWCC) and is one of the largest fundraising campaigns in Canada.
Last year, we raised over to $2.1 million nationally and provided funds to thousands of charities in more than 90 communities across Canada. Your remarkable generosity ensures that the GCWCC remains the most successful workplace fundraising campaign in the country.
This year's campaign, acknowledges the RCAF’s Centennial with the slogan "Take Flight for Good," and invites us all to continue our commitment to charitable giving. It encourages us to rise above challenges and to reach new heights in supporting those in need.
For those who have supported the campaign before, your continued dedication is deeply appreciated. If you are new to charitable giving, NDWCC makes it easy to get involved and to make a meaningful difference.
You can support the causes that matter most to you online via our e-Pledge system. This online platform allows you to make donations, choose from a list of over 68,000 Canadian charities to support, and manage your contributions effectively.
If making a financial donation isn’t feasible for you right now, you can volunteer or participate in local events. The NDWCC events webpage will list a wide range of local activities as they are confirmed.
We want to thank all the volunteers who organize and run the campaign across the Department for their tremendous effort. Thank you, in advance, to the donors – there is no charitable campaign without you.
Remember, every contribution—no matter the size—helps foster hope and create opportunities. Let’s take flight together and soar towards greater achievements to support those in need.
Thank you for your support,
Lieutenant-General E. Kenny
