Member Secure Website (MSW) Overview

More than ever, your move is at your fingertips and under your control – whenever you want and wherever you are. Using the information you provided during the Preliminary Relocation Assessment (PRA), Your Move Profile gives you the personalized tools you need for a successful move.

All these tools are also readily available through our mobile app, giving you on-the-go access to the information you will need. For Apple devices, you can find the app on Apple iStore; for Android devices, it is on the Play Store.

There are five major tabs in Your Move Profile.

My Move

The My Move tab is the MSW’s central headquarters. It contains six important sections to help Members manage every aspect of their relocation.:

  • My Move Profile – The 'My Move Profile' section contains all the information entered during the PRA, including family details and specifics about the Member’s origin home and vehicles. Members can update this information if their circumstances change; however, it's important to note that any modifications may affect entitlements and alter the financial estimates displayed in the 'Finances' tab.
  • Tasks – The 'Tasks' section helps Members stay organized by tracking key milestones throughout their relocation. For instance, after completing a House Hunting Trip, a task will automatically appear prompting them to submit an expense claim. Tasks can be viewed either as a simple ©2025 CRSP
Confidential & Proprietary Page 7 checklist or in a timeline format. Members can also personalize their task list by adding items from the provided checklist to ensure they remain on track.
  • Suppliers – The Suppliers section is where Members search for and select Third-Party Service Providers (TPSPs) from our directory, at origin and destination. The directory includes TPSP contact information and displays the most current ceiling rate for the selected service.
  • Planning Sessions – In this section, Members can book a 30-minute planning session during which a CRSP advisor will provide them with counselling and guidance on their relocation. Existing bookings can be modified or cancelled from here as well.
  • Destination – The Destination section uses an interactive map to provide Members valuable information about their new location. They can explore restaurants, hospitals, stores, and schools near their destination, allowing them to plan an effective House Hunting Trip.
  • Trips - Finally, the Trips section is where Members make requests for travel arrangements to be made with the Government Travel Provider.
Finances

The second major tab, Finances, is where Members can manage the financial aspect of their move. It consists of five sections.

  • My Budget - My Budget provides a comprehensive overview of relocation expenses, including overall move estimate, funds that have been advanced to the Members, and entitlements reimbursed to date.
  • Advances - The Advances section is where Members go to submit a request for an advance of funds in anticipation of upcoming relocation expenses, to avoid being in an out-of-pocket situation.
  • Claims - The Claims section is where Members submit requests for reimbursement of eligible relocation expenses. They can also continue working on claims that they previously saved as draft, check the status of previously submitted claims, review approved claims, and read comments left by CRSP Advisors on rejected claims. Note: expense claims will first be reconciled against any outstanding advance balance before being paid out.
  • Payment History - The Payment History section provides a complete record of every financial transaction on the Member’s relocation file, including advanced funds and reimbursed expenses. The system maintains a running balance of the amount advanced to the Member that has not yet been offset by approved expense claims.
  • Final Statement of Account - Once the Member has moved to destination and submitted all their expense claims, they must certify that their Final Statement of Account is accurate so that their file can be reconciled. If they do not complete this step, CRSP will request that the CAF provide approval to reconcile the file.
Journal

The third tab, Journal, is where all correspondence between CRSP advisors is kept in one convenient place. All emails, phone calls, live chats and scheduled video calls are saved here for future reference. These can be filtered by type or date, making it easy to find specific communication.

Documents

To substantiate your move benefits, you will be asked to upload documents - a sale or purchase agreement, for example - at various points of your move. You’ll also have a personal folder so that you can upload other move-related documents, letting you keep everything in one place. Only you can see the contents of your personal folder.

Additionally, this tab will offer you access to forms you may require such as the application to move your furniture and effects.

Resources

The fifth and final tab, Resources, provides Members with a comprehensive library of reference material to help them make informed decisions throughout their move. This includes fact sheets, quick tips, and videos to guide them through their relocation and avoid common pitfalls. The Resources tab also contains a direct link to the latest Relocation Directive, providing a convenient way for Members to read about and confirm eligibility for specific benefits.
