The Military Judges Compensation Committee is established pursuant to s. 165.33 of the National Defence Act, R.S.C. 1985, Chap. N-5, as amended, to inquire as to the adequacy of the remuneration of military judges and to provide a report to the Minister of National Defence containing its recommendations in this regard.
The Committee invites all interested parties to make written submissions in either official language concerning the matters within the Committee’s mandate. Any interested party must notify the Executive Secretary of their intention to intervene as soon as possible. Such written submissions, of a maximum of 20 pages, must be received by the Committee on or before May 31, 2023, and must be provided in electronic format.
A party filing a written submission with the Committee may also request an extension of time or an opportunity to make a presentation at an oral hearing. If an oral hearing is requested, such an oral hearing will take place on June 14, 2023.
