Transcript
When life happens, CAF Sentinels and DND Peer Advisors can equip you with resources and help you find support. The CAF Sentinel Program is a peer support network made up of trained and supervised volunteer members of all ranks. It’s about CAF members helping members. They are a helping hand when you are most in need.
Peer Advisors are DND employees who volunteer to support and listen to other DND public service employees. Sentinels and Peer Advisors are trustworthy, approachable, and trained to help you find the best resources for your needs.
While they are not therapists or counsellors themselves, they can serve as an initial support for individuals experiencing personal or professional challenges. They offer a valuable first step in identifying appropriate resources, especially for those unsure of where to begin. Remember, you are not alone.
Sentinels and peer advisors are here for you. Visit the Defence Team Health and Wellness web page on Canada.ca or check out the links below this video to learn more.
