July 10: Twitter Update from the Deputy Minister Jody Thomas

July 10, 2020 – Defence Stories

Friday update: Last week marked the #CAF’s last day supporting long-term care facilities in Quebec and Ontario. This was a team who worked tirelessly having a direct & meaningful impact on the lives of Canadians. Thank you.

Near and dear to my heart, sea trials are underway this weekend in Halifax for our first new #AOPS! Looking forward to delivery later this summer of the #HMCSHarryDeWolf to support @RoyalCanNavy.

As we continue through the stages of business resumption, let’s make sure the right tools are available to safely return to the workplace. Check out the Resuming Work webpage for the latest updates: https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/campaigns/covid-19/resuming-work.html.

If you can’t find the answers to your specific questions, talk to your manager or submit your questions using the Ask Anything form on the COVID-19 webpage: https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/campaigns/covid-19/resuming-work/ask-anything-covid-19.html

Many within our #DefenceTeam are still juggling working from home with caring for young children. Make sure to check out the great resources in our Defence Team Parenting Series to help you out: https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/maple-leaf/defence/2020/07/empowering-protecting-children.html.

And as we head into summer holiday season, remember to take the time to rest and recharge - and don’t forget - #washyourhands #wearamask.
