Messages from the Deputy Minister (DM) and Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS)
The CDS/DM Directive on DND/CAF Operating and Reconstituting in a Persistent COVID-19 Environment applies to all DND employees, all officers and non-commissioned members of the CAF, and any persons granted access to Defence establishments in accordance with the Defence Controlled Access Area Regulations.
DM/CDS Initiating Directive on Transitioning to a Hybrid Workforce to Support Full Business Resumption for Defence Team Public Service Employees
This Initiating Directive applies to all Public Service employees of the Department of National Defence (DND) and to all managers of DND Public Service employees, including Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) managers of DND Public Service employees.
You most likely have a lot of questions about how COVID-19 affects our day-to-day activities. These FAQs may address some of your questions about functioning in a persistent COVID-19 environment. We encourage you to speak with your manager/chain of command, as they will have the most up to date information specific to your team and region.
Are you a Defence Team member or family member with a question about business resumption that hasn’t been answered by either your manager, your chain of command, or the available resources?
