Updated: Recourse for harassment, sexual misconduct, and discrimination: filing a complaint with the Canadian Human Rights Commission

March 22, 2024 - Defence Stories

CAF members: If you have experienced workplace discrimination, sexual harassment, or sexual misconduct, you can bring your complaint to the Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC).

Members who choose to go directly to the CHRC do not need to exhaust internal grievance and harassment processes first. The CHRC process applies to both new and existing complaints.

Learn about this new process and how to file directly with the CHRC by consulting the DND/CAF Ombudsman’s website.

Military complaint mechanisms are the focus of the DND/CAF Ombudsman’s upcoming investigation

Find out when this investigation will be released by following the DND/CAF Ombudsman on Facebook, Instagram and  X  or by visiting ombuds.ca.
