Share your experience to support employment equity

The Department of National Defence (DND) is committed to attracting and retaining a highly skilled and diverse workforce and eliminating employment barriers in delivering the Defence Team’s mission.
As part of the Employment Systems Review (ESR) for the public service workforce, and to better identify the barriers that are present within DND employment systems, processes and policies, the department developed a confidential Employment Systems Review Survey.
This survey is directed at public service employees who self-identify as members of an employment equity (EE) group or an equity-seeking group.
About the survey
- The survey period is from now until August 27, 2025.
- It is open to public service employees who are part of an EE or equity-seeking group.
- All responses are kept confidential, and participation is completely anonymous.
- It takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.
- Its findings will inform the 2025-2026 ESR. Researchers will look to publish findings from the ESR in a report that will be available to all DND employees.
Your input will help identify new and existing barriers, inform future Employment Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EEDI) Plans, and contribute to meaningful progress at DND.
