Minister Anand and General Eyre to visit British Columbia

The Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of National Defence; and General Wayne Eyre, Chief of the Defence Staff, will visit British Columbia on May 23 and 24, 2022.

On May 23, Minister Anand and General Eyre will attend a ceremony, at Government House in Victoria, marking the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Canadian Rangers.

On May 24, Minister Anand will visit the Ukrainian Cultural Centre at 3277 Douglas Street, in Victoria, at 9:00 AM. Media are asked to arrive no later than 8:45 AM.

Subsequently, Minister Anand will visit Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Esquimalt facilities and naval assets and the Esquimalt Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC). Minister Anand will also participate in a panel discussion on systemic racism and discrimination with members of the Defence Team (closed to media).
