About the school

As the Canadian Armed Forces centre of expertise in instructor development, the Canadian Forces Training Development Centre’s mission is to direct and co-ordinate the generation of qualified and sufficient personnel to instruct, supervise, monitor, and manage Canadian Armed Forces Individual Training & Education (IT&E), while also influencing the development of, and adherence to, IT&E processes, initiatives and policies.

A primary focus of Canadian Forces Training Development Centre is the detailed delivery of applied training to the Personnel Support Program (PSP) training cadre, personnel selection officers, training development officers, imagery technicians, and Canadian Armed Forces recruitment personnel. These concentrated and dynamic programs provide the foundation of development of competent personnel contributing to organizations comfortable with continuous change improvement.

The Canadian Forces Training Development Centre will be the leading practitioner in instructional development methodologies in order to effectively ensure the positioning of Canadian Armed Forces training establishments, personnel support program, personnel selection officers, training development officers, and Canadian Forces Recruiting Group (CFRG) entities in response to a world increasingly driven by knowledge and innovation.
