2015
- March 2015: Deschamps Report
- September 2015: Creation of Sexual Misconduct Response Centre (SMRC) and support line
2016
- Heyder-Beattie Class Action Initiated (2016-2017)
2017
- Support line was officially operational 24/7
2018
- June 2018: Launch of External Advisory Council
2019
- August 2019: Creation of Response and Support Coordination Program
- August 2019: Launch of Sexual Assault Centre Contribution Program
- November 2019: Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) – Department of National Defence (DND) Sexual Misconduct Final Settlement Agreement
2020
- There has been no slowing in developing our programs through COVID-19 pandemic.
2021
- November 2021: Restorative Engagement Program launched.
- December 2021: Support services expanded to include former CAF members, CAF Veterans, and DND public service employees.
2022
- June 2022: Peer Support Program launched the peer support discussion platform Togetherall
- October 2022: Contribution Program transitioned to a Grant Program
- December 2022: The SMRC changes its name to the Sexual Misconduct Support and Resource Centre (SMSRC)
2023
- April 2023: Services expanded to Cadets, Junior Canadian Rangers and their families 16 years of age or older
- May 2023: Independent Legal Assistance (ILA) Program launched first phase, reimbursements for eligible legal costs
- May 2023: Launch of SMSRC’s Community Consultations initiative
- June 2023: Peer Support Program launched virtual formal group sessions
2024
- September 2024: Launch of Client Experience Survey
2025
- May 2025: Launch of Independent Legal Assistance Program second phase, direct access to legal team
