Blackdown CTC Joining Instructions
CTC Services
Laundry
Laundry facilities and detergent are available to all cadets at no cost.
Irons and ironing boards are available for use.
Accommodations
Cadets will be housed in soft-walled structures. Cadets are provided with a bunk-style bed and locker for storing personal items.
Washrooms are located in the building adjacent to the cadet sleeping accommodations.
All accommodations are gender-specific.
Visitor Access
Access to Blackdown CTC is restricted to authorized personnel only. Visitors will be required to produce Government-issued photo identification.
Anyone wishing to visit a cadet or take them off base must complete the Time-Off Authorization and Consent Form (You are now leaving Canada.ca. Link accessible only on the Cadet365 SharePoint) and return it to the Cadet Training Centre.
Guests attending special ceremonies or course graduations will be required to produce photo identification upon arrival at the training centre.

CTC medical clinic will be available:

Course Specifics
Expedition Team Member / Expedition Team Leader
Cadets attending Expedition Team Member should bring, in addition to the items on the packing list, the following items:
- Water shoes
- Quick dry T-shirt / shorts
Cadets attending Music Courses
Cadets are permitted to bring their own musical instruments, though they should note that the Crown and CTC will not be liable for any damage, loss, or theft of these personal instruments.
Cadets who do not bring their own will be provided with instruments by the CTC, for which they will be responsible, particularly in cases of damage beyond normal wear and tear. All participants are expected to handle any instrument, whether personal or issued, with care and in accordance with the guidelines provided.
Cadets attending Pipes and Drums may bring their highland dress, however are required to travel in Service Dress - C3. The CTC has highland dress available for those that do not bring their own.
