2. One medal shall be awarded to the top cadet, male or female, on both the GPS and the PPS at each of the five Regional Gliding Schools; this means five medals for the GPS and five medals for the PPS for a total of ten medals each year.

The Commanding Officer shall make sure the selection process is known by all, transparent and auditable to ensure the most deserving cadets are selected to receive the medals.

Distribution of Medals

5. Each year, D Cdts 4-6 shall forward two medals with ribbons to the Regional Gliding Schools.

Medal Presentations

6. An AFAC representative shall present the medals to the recipients at the graduation parades. If an AFAC representative is not available, the Reviewing Officer shall present the medals.

Second Medal Recipients

7. A cadet having received the AFAC medal for the GPS, may also be the best cadet on the PPS in a subsequent year thus receiving a second AFAC medal.
