Quebec Economic Development Program (QEDP)

The QEDP supports regional economic development and diversification, helping them to seize promising economic development opportunities for the future.

  • QEDP's objectives

    1. Strengthening of regional economic activity and generation of investments and economic spinoffs through entrepreneurship and support for community economic facilities

      • Benefit many users, primarily businesses or tourists
      • Be a regional priority
      • Be part of a comprehensive, shared regional development or diversification approach

    2. Promotion of regional assets to attract international organizations or increase spending by tourists from outside Quebec

      • Enhance regions’ positioning and competitiveness
      • Help regions maximize their national and international appeal

Diversifying your economy is a component of the QEDP that provides support to SMEs and NPOs to attract international organizations to the region, promote tourism outside Québec, or acquire shared economic equipment.
