Governor representing Employers – Joseph Bajzath
Joseph Bajzath is the Director of Corporate Safety and Emergency Management at Air Canada, leading its response to the COVID‐19 pandemic as incident commander of their Pandemic Taskforce. With over 30 years of experience, he is an expert in the development and implementation of safety programs related to occupational health and safety and crisis management. He has served on the CCOHS Council of Governors as a Governor representing Employers since 2018.
Mr. Bajzath has been reappointed for a term of four years, effective April 30, 2021.
Governor representing Ontario – Rodney Cook
Rodney Cook, the Vice President of Workplace Health and Safety Services for the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), is recognized as an important figure in the advancement of integrated health and safety. He leads the team that has built and implemented the WSIB’s new digital Health and Safety Excellence program, which aims to reduce workplace injuries. In addition, Rodney sits on the Board of Directors for the National Institute of Disability Management and Research, the Pacific Coast University for Workplace Health Sciences, and Excellence Canada.
Mr. Cook has been appointed for a term of four years, effective June 24, 2021.
Governor representing New Brunswick – Tim Petersen
Tim Petersen has 26 years of experience in executive leadership roles at WorkSafeNB. Currently the Vice President of Prevention, he has also served as Acting President and CEO, as well as the Vice President of Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer during his career. In addition, Tim is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor with experience in overseeing various prevention services such as workplace inspections and compliance and accident investigations.
Mr. Petersen has been appointed for a term of four years, effective June 24, 2021.
