Government of Canada to highlight support for AI research and workforce training

Media advisory

The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Jobs and Families and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario, will highlight funding to support training for Canada’s workforce in the evolving energy sector.

The Honourable Evan Solomon, Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, will highlight funding initiatives that invest in Canada’s energy workers and build Canada’s AI capacity.

The Ministers will also be accompanied by the Honourable Eleanor Olszewski, Minister of Emergency Management and Community Resilience and Minister responsible for Prairies Economic Development Canada.

A photo opportunity and media availability will follow the announcement.
