Starting Strong VII: Empowering Young Children in the Digital Age

On April 17, 2023, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) published the seventh volume of its Starting Strong series, Empowering Young Children in the Digital Age (2023). The Starting Strong series offers international information on early childhood education and care (ECEC) to help countries improve policies and deliver high-quality ECEC services. This report examines the opportunities and risks of using digital technologies in ECEC settings. Between 2021 and 2023, the OECD collected data for this report through:

  • 2 policy surveys
  • case studies, and
  • exchanges with participating countries
