International Institute for International Development (IISD) Leaving no Canadian Behind – measuring the wellbeing of vulnerable Canadians for effective SDG The research project identified the vulnerable groups under-represented in the SDGs Canada. Community Foundations of Canada Alliance 2030 – Outreach and Engagement Alliance 2030 engaged organizations and the public on the SDGs between now and 2030. Canadian Organic Growers Kick-starting a Food Secure Akwesasne and Promoting SDG across Canada and Beyond (KFSA) The project worked with The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne towards the 2030 Agenda. The Kind Village Inc. K(IN)D: Student Edition: A project to recognize and activate impact resources on campus This project built an impact toolkit for the SDGs. Rivers to Ridges Indigenous-led Collaborative Planning: Indigenous Knowledge to Achieve Canada's 2030 SDG Agenda This project will form an Elder’s Advisory Group to guide engagement with post-secondary institutions and organizations across Canada, supporting decision-makers in integrating Indigenous and local knowledge into approaches for 2030 SDG-aligned solutions. A public web space will highlight how the Lands and Peoples Relationship (LPR) Model supports SDGs 13, 14, and 15 through collaborative planning, showcasing best practices for organizations and institutions. L’île du savoir (in French only) Eurêka Festival's EcoZONE This project's focus is to raise awareness of the environment and ecological transition. The target audience will be school aged children and their families to inspire them to become eco-citizens. The project will develop a zone dedicated to ecological transition at the Festival to be held in the Spring of 2025 and 2026. The goal is to offer young people the chance to talk to experts in environmental science to spark their interest, especially girls and those from schools in disadvantaged areas, and to stimulate environmental mobilization. Gorge Waterway Action Society Sustainable Development Goals Interpreter Project This project will build awareness of and conncection to Canada's 2030 Agenda and the UN's SDGs making them more relevant and actionable at the local level by strengthening relationships with the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations. The Interpreter Project will be used to provide education with a focus on increasing accessibility in education, serving youth and underserved community groups through an Indigenous and reconciliation perspective. University of Calgary Together|Ensemble 2025 and 2026 This project is Canada’s national conference devoted to tracking progress on the SDGs. The conference represents an all-of-society approach to addressing Canada’s toughest sustainable development challenges, bringing together the private sector, academia, government, and civil society. Together|Ensemble incorporates the foundational principles of the SDGs by being an event that is accessible, inclusive, multi-generational, equity-based, and bilingual.
