The Canadian Apprenticeship Strategy - Investments in Training Equipment (CAS-ITE) will now accept applications on an ongoing basis.

Funding priorities for the CAS-ITE may change. Prior to applying, check this funding page to ensure that you have the most current and up-to-date information.

Applications will be assessed as they are submitted. Funding decisions will be made on an ongoing basis following Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) standard timelines. Funding decisions can take up to 4 to 6 months.

Application period:
Continuous intake starting March 19, 2025 Open
Funding amount:
Up to $5,000,000 per project for a maximum of 36 months.
Who can apply:
Unions representing workers in the Red Seal trades; organizations managing training trust funds for unions representing workers in the Red Seal trades; or training providers that provide technical training to pre-apprentices and apprentices as part of a recognized apprenticeship program for a Red Seal trade.
What this funding opportunity offers:
Funding for projects that demonstrate a need for trades training equipment and materials that meet industry standards or invest in new technology to train pre-apprentices and apprentices in Red Seal trades.
