Social Development Partnerships Program – Disability Component – Intersectional Capacity Development Stream 2

This funding opportunity recognizes that the disability community is not a homogenous group and that instead multiple communities and people experience exclusion because of a variety of barriers and many intersecting identities. It will fund projects that support the increase of capacity of national disability organizations and their partners to address intersectional barriers that impact inclusion of persons with disabilities.

Application period:
November 9, 2023 to December 21, 2023 at 5:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time (EST) Closed
Funding amount:
Up to $700,000 for a project that is up to 24 months in duration
Who can apply:
Not-for-profit organizations, with a primary mandate that promotes the social inclusion of persons with disabilities across Canada and is governed by a majority of persons with disabilities and/or lived experience

We will hold information sessions virtually for those who are interested in applying for funding. Please email us at NC-ODI-BCPH-SDPPD-PPDSPH-GD@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca and let us know your name and language and date you prefer based on the dates below.

The sessions will be fully accessible and include American Sign Language (ASL), Langue des signes québécoise (LSQ), and Communications Access Realtime Translation (CART).

The dates for the sessions are as follows:

  • November 20, 2023, 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (EST) in English
  • November 23, 2023, 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (EST) in French
