Social Development Partnership Program – Disability Component - Disability Benefits Navigation Program
This funding opportunity aims to fund organizations that will facilitate greater access to disability benefits for persons with disabilities and their families, including the Disability Tax Credit (DTC), the Canada Disability Benefit (CDB), as well as other federal and provincial and territorial disability benefits. Disability Benefits Navigation (DBN) targets individuals who may be eligible for disability benefits yet remain underserved, disconnected from services, or face intersecting barriers to access.
- Application period:
- From August 19, 2026, to October 8, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)
- Funding amount:
- Up to $1,000,000 (up to $500,000 per year) for a project that is 2 years in duration
- Who can apply:
- Not-for-profit organizations that have an established disability benefits navigation service and/or have experience and expertise in benefits navigation related activities
Information sessions
Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) will hold information sessions to give an overview of this application process for organizations interested in applying for funding.
The dates for the sessions are as follows:
- September 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (English, ASL and CART)
- September 2,2026, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (French, LSQ and CART)
