Social Development Partnerships Program – Disability Component - Disability Benefits Navigation (Navigation Services)

This funding will help people with disabilities and their families access disability programs and benefits, like the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) and the Canada Disability Benefit (CDB).

Description

This funding will help people with disabilities and their families access disability programs and benefits, like the DTC, the CDB and other federal, provincial and territorial disability benefits.

ESDC will support organizations that help people with disabilities and their families find and apply for these benefits by:

  • giving people the information they need and helping them with any challenges (this could include a help line, a website, or support groups)
  • offering free, one-on-one help during the application process, including support for appeals if needed

Organizations can apply for up to $500,000 per year, up to a total of $1 million over 2 years.

Eligibility

Solicited, not-for-profit organizations that:

  • have an established disability benefits navigation service and/or
  • have experience and expertise in benefits navigation related activities, and
  • were invited to apply

Only 1 application per organization will be accepted.

The Solicited Call for Proposals is a competitive process and not all applications submitted under this CFP will be selected for funding.

Ineligible recipients

Ineligible recipients that cannot apply for funding include:

  • non-solicited, not-for-profit organizations
  • individuals; and
  • provincial and territorial governments
