“It is really rewarding to play a role in protecting and conserving Canada’s lands and oceans.”

Meet Benoit Logan! Benoit is a Program Coordinator with the Canadian Wildlife Service’s Protected Areas Program. For the past three years, Benoit has played an integral role in working to protect and conserve Canada’s land and in-land waters. Through his work on Canada’s Target 1 Challenge, he has seen investment and progress on projects across the country, which will contribute to the federal government’s ultimate goal of conserving 25% of Canada’s land and 25% of its oceans by 2025.

Seeing resources invested in these deserving projects has been impactful for Benoit, as he knows this work will benefit all Canadians.

Benoit also gets satisfaction from the great relationships he’s made throughout his time with Environment and Climate Change Canada, and recently enjoyed emceeing the Canada Wildlife Service’s virtual holiday party.
