The China Council
Established in 1992, the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development is a high-profile international advisory body to the Chinese government. Through collaboration, it promotes global environmental sustainability by supporting Chinese efforts to manage environmental issues. Since 2016, Canada’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change has been its international executive vice chair.
The China Council is working to promote sustainable development and build a bridge between China and the international community on environment and development.
