Consultation goal
The Government of Canada, through Environment and Climate Change Canada, is seeking public input on proposed Lake Ecosystem Objectives, and associated phosphorus reduction scenarios for Lake of the Woods to support decisions by governments on measures protective of lake health and water quality.
Over the course of this consultation, we will be publishing discussion aids and posting specific questions on our PlaceSpeak site to hear how Canadians envision a healthy Lake of the Woods and what outcomes are supported by the community to improve conditions in the lake.
Who is the focus of this consultation?
All Canadians are invited to participate in this consultation. We especially want to hear from:
- The public
- Non-governmental organizations, including watershed organizations
- Academic institutions
