In honour of Canadian Environment Week, the Biosphere is announcing today its 2017 2018 programming, which includes several new exhibitions marking Canada’s 150th anniversary, Montréal’s 375th anniversary, and the 1967 International and Universal Exposition’s 50th anniversary.

“I invite the public to take part in the festivities for Canada’s 150^th anniversary by visiting the Biosphere, which is offering free admission during Canadian Environment Week.”

• The immersive show Design the Future won 1^st prize for a museum production in the Cultural Production category at the 2016 NUMIX awards ceremony, which recognizes excellence in digital media in Quebec.

• Interactive games, sensory experiences, scientific animations, and outdoor exhibitions inform visitors each day on current environmental issues.

• During the summer (until September 30, 2017), the Biosphere will be open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is free for visitors aged 17 or younger if they are accompanied by a parent or another family member.

• Admission is also free on July 1^st and 2^nd as part of the festivities for Canada’s 150^th anniversary.

• The Biosphere is located in Parc Jean-Drapeau, on Saint Helen’s Island. The park offers visitors picnic areas, play areas, and unique natural spaces.
