Government of Canada to announce a significant commitment on the management of chemical substances

Montréal, Quebec – March 4, 2025 Media representatives are advised that senior government officials from Environment and Climate Change Canada and Health Canada will hold a bilingual technical briefing on the State of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Final Report.

PFAS, sometimes referred to as “forever chemicals”, are a group of extremely persistent human-made substances used in a wide range of everyday products such as food packaging, clothing, and cosmetics.

The briefing will be on background only and is not for attribution.
