Appendix C: Regional Workshop Reports
February 11 - 12, 2002

Toronto, Ontario
A total of 60 stakeholders attended the workshop, including 5 ENGO representatives. On the second day a total of 3 EC delegates were present to provide technical expertise during the breakout sessions.
The attendees were split up into four breakout groups that were evenly distributed in number and sector representation.
The locale, facilities and service for the workshop were adequate. They were conducive to the full participation of the attendees.
Interaction with the primary presenter and the ensuing discussions were lively with most attendees participating fully and frankly. No individual sector, industry, government, or ENGO, dominated the discussions.

The locale, facilities and service for the workshop were adequate. They were conducive to the full participation of the attendees.
Interaction with the primary presenter and the ensuing discussions were lively with most attendees participating fully and frankly. No individual sector dominated the discussions.
The attendees were split up into three breakout groups; two were conducted in French and the third was conducted in English.
The presentations were made in both English and French. Simultaneous translation services were provided.

The agenda was adhered to for the most part. On the second day, the number of attendees present did not warrant continuing with breakout groups and the meetings were all held in plenary session.
