Disposal at sea permit QUE-00323-1, amended
Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999
Notice is hereby given that the Minister of the Environment, pursuant to subsection 129(3) of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA), is varying a condition of disposal at sea permit no. QUE-00323-1 as outlined below. The varied condition is published in the Canadian Environmental Protection Act Registry on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.
3.2. The loading and disposal at sea activities may be carried out in the harbour from April 1, 2023, to May 31, 2023, on the condition that measures to limit the dispersion of suspended sediments in the aquatic environment are put in place, that these measures do not trap fish within the harbour, and that the sediment plume remains within the harbour and does not come near a spawning ground.
