Products Containing Mercury Regulations: online reporting system

The Products Containing Mercury Regulations (the regulations) prohibit the manufacture and import of products containing mercury or any of its compounds, with some exemptions for essential products which have no technically or economically viable alternatives.
Since the regulations came into force on November 8, 2015, manufacturers and importers of exempted or permitted mercury containing products are required to report to Environment and Climate Change Canada every three years. The first report is to be submitted by March 31, 2017, on 2016 data.
This spreadsheet was designed to help regulated parties complete their online report. You can use it to fill out one or both of the tables available under the tabs "Products by Category table" and "Products by Permit table" of this document. Simply enter the information that must be included in your report and then use the copy and paste function to transfer the information into the table(s) available on the online reporting system.
