Facility-reported greenhouse gas data
Canadian facilities are required to report their annual greenhouse gas emissions. We publish this data starting from 2004 to the most recent year of data collected. We also publish overview reports that analyze the latest year’s data, and provide interactive tools and downloadable datasets that allow you to explore facility-level emissions, compare emissions across facilities, and understand changes in these emissions over time.

- Downloadable emissions data (Excel and CSV) are available on the Open Data Portal:
- Facility emission totals by greenhouse gas from 2004 to 2024
- Facility emission totals by greenhouse gas and by emission source from 2022 to 2024
- New: Carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions from biomass combustion have been added to the downloadable data files (data available from 2022 onward)
