About climate trends and variations bulletin

Since the 2010-2011 Winter, the Climate Trends and Variations Bulletin (CTVB) uses gridded temperature and precipitation data product CANGRD to produce maps, graphs, and ranked summary tables in CTVB reporting. The following is a brief description of the data and procedures used in the CTVB reports:

Please note that starting from Winter 2020-2021, the latest generation of CANGRD is adopted in the analyses of the Climate Trends and Variations Bulletin. This update will enhance the maps, graphs, and ranked-summary tables produced in the bulletin reporting. For more information, please visit Vincent et al. (2020).
