Air quality categories

Info-Smog includes air quality forecasts to help protect public health. There are three categories of air quality forecasts:

The Info-Smog is calculated using the Air Quality Index (AQI) method, for ozone and fine particulate matter.

We may change the forecast at any time if necessary.

Smog warnings

When the air quality is poor, we issue a smog warning for the impacted areas. Smog warnings include advice for how people at risk can reduce the health risks of smog. You can find all weather alerts on our interactive weather map and on the WeatherCAN app.
