Table 11. Additional Recommended Design Features for Chemical Storage Areas

Design feature	Recommendations
Spill containment	Provide water sprays and/or ventilation to control ammonia vapours.
Drip containment	Provide adequate ventilation to control ammonia vapours.
Vapour control	Install control equipment (scrubbers) as required to comply with applicable air emission limits for ammonia vapours. If wet scrubbers are used, they should be designed for recycle and reuse of scrubber fluid.
