Management of toxic substances: wet processing textile industry sector
There are approximately 60 wet processing textile mills in Canada. The majority of these mills are located in Quebec and Ontario, with a few in the Atlantic provinces. Wet processes are textile manufacturing or production processes that require significant quantities of water. The following textile processes are considered to be wet processes: scouring, neutralizing, desizing, mercerizing, carbonizing, fulling, bleaching, dyeing, finishing or any other wet process.
