What is a critical effect size?
A Critical effect size (CES) is a threshold that indicates that an effect may be of high risk. CESs were developed from scientific knowledge, acquired over several years of the Pulp and Paper EEM program, that indicated that most mills observed an effect in at least one of the monitored indicators.
