Closed Containers

PERC, waste water and residue must be stored in closed containers at all times, except when access is required for proper operation or maintenance.

Secondary Containment

PERC-impermeable secondary containment must encompass at least the entire surface under each dry-cleaning machine, tank or other containers containing PERC, waste water or residue and be capable of containing at least 110% of the capacity of the largest tank or container in the containment system.

Drain Plugs

PERC-resistant drain plugs must be readily available to seal all floor drains that PERC, waste water or residue may enter in the event of a spill.

Waste Water

Waste water must be transported to a waste management facility no less than once every 12 months or treated on site using a system as prescribed.

Residue must be transported to a waste management facility no less than once every 12 months.
