Welcome into The National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI) 101-201 training!
You will learn more about the NPRI, the types of information available, and how to use the NPRI datasets.
In the NPRI 101 course, you will be introduced to basics of the NPRI.
In this course you will learn:
- what the NPRI is and its role
- how the NPRI data is collected and managed
- the activities in the NPRI’s annual reporting cycle
In the NPRI 201 course, you will discover the six main types of datasets available that allow access to the data collected by the NPRI. You will also learn how to best select the appropriate dataset, as well as to navigate, and interpret the data correctly.
In this course you will learn:
- the types of datasets available on the NPRI website
- how to select the appropriate dataset for different uses
- how to navigate and use a selected NPRI dataset
- how to accurately interpret the NPRI data
- data considerations and limitations to be aware of when using NPRI data
