Tim Louis
Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage
Represents the riding of Kitchener—Conestoga
Tim Louis was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Kitchener—Conestoga in 2019.
Mr. Louis has served on several parliamentary committees, including the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage, the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food, and the Standing Joint Committee for the Scrutiny of Regulations.
Mr. Louis is an ardent supporter of Canada’s vibrant manufacturing, technology, and agricultural sectors, with the preservation and protection of farmland and the promotion of sustainability being some of his key priorities. He also shows a strong commitment to the arts community, actively supporting initiatives that nurture creativity and cultural expression, drive economic growth, and create job opportunities.
Prior to entering politics, Mr. Louis had successful careers as a songwriter, singer, musician, and radio show host. As a recording artist, he toured across Canada, giving him unique insight into the diverse interests, perspectives, and cultures of Canadians from coast to coast to coast.
Mr. Louis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Rutgers University. He is a proud husband and father of two. He and his family have called Kitchener their home for the last 30 years.
